Be My Valentine
The piece has a modern vibe in black and white fabric and a few pops of red. It’s finished in black-stained oak which can be hung vertically or horizontally. Size: 15 inches by 20 inches.
Quiet Calm
2020 was a tumultuous year for our nation and all of us came out of it with a need for moments of calm. Although there were many bumps and hills to climb this year (depicted by Timber’s support structure) the quiet earth tones and soothing horizontal lines speak to a need for inner calm. Look closely to find the intermittent occurrence of beading. Namaste! 21 inches by 16 inches.
Dancing Forest
Do trees dance in the light of a full moon? They do in this piece, constructed using raw-edge applique. The trees range in color from brown to blue to fuchsia. Timber used his support magic to add movement and Thread accented the quilt with silver metallic stitching to give it a feeling of fantasy. Size: 17 ½ inches high, 22 inches wide.
Cylindrical Quilt
Thread was experimenting with some raw edge applique in a variety of black and white fabrics. Timber formed it into a cylinder and added a cherry wood bottom. Shown here, it makes a great container for fresh-cut or dried flowers. Dimensions: 5 inches in diameter, 14 inches high. For purchase information, contact us via the form at the bottom of this page.
Map in the Attic
Thread was drawn to the map print fabric and discovered that when pieced into blocks, it reflected the chaotic current world. The leather accents were added and Timber decided to build a support system that gave it a bumpy surface. Suddenly it looked like an old map newly discovered in the attic. Years from now it may remind us of 2020! Approximate dimensions: 13 inches by 28 inches overall. For purchase information, contact us via the form at the bottom of this page.
MMXX Uicibusque recedit (2020 Sundial)
2020 has been a topsy-turvy year for many of us. What day is it? What time is it? Losing much of our normal frame of reference, we were never sure! So we set out to make a sundial that is as chaotic as this year has become.
Approximate diameter is 10 inches, so it would look great on an end table or coffee table. For purchase information, contact us via the form at the bottom of this page.

Pallet of (non) Color
Black and white: always fun to quilt with, always pleasing to look at, especially with a pop of red! Timber constructed a pallet look-alike using a torch to accentuate the wood grain. It sends out a casual, rustic vibe. Approximate size is 31 inches x 31 inches. For purchase information, contact us via the form at the bottom of this page.
Back to the Garden
Linen was tie-dyed by Thread for use as table runners at a party in conjunction with Big Top Chautauqua’s Woodstock Revival in 2019. Not wanting to waste great fabric, she incorporated it into a piece combined with gray and white background fabric that is densely machine quilted. Timber elevated the tie-dye areas and added a gentle curve on the upper corner. Groovy! Size: 24” x 24”. For purchase information, contact us via the form at the bottom of this page.
Turning the Corner
Definitely turning the corner from traditional quilting, this multi-angled piece is done in shades of blue denim and shibori fabrics. It rises from a wood base and then dips slightly in the middle for more dimensional interest. Size: 32” (approximate diameter). Plaid Moon Rising
Thread pieced this background in violet, red, orange and yellow with touches of blue to resemble plaid. Timber put a curve in the mounting so the moon, which is hand-quilted plaid, would rise toward the sky (or at least the ceiling). Size: 28 “ x 23”.
